Old Gasoline - What to do?

Ok, so i just dropped my fuel tank from my S10, to replace the fuel pump. The truck has sat for about a year so I'm pretty sure the gasoline has gone bad. How / What can I do to get rid of the Old Gasoline?? I have about 5 gallons worth... damn it

You can do a few things .. if its only 5gal you can top the tak off with 91 or you can go yo any boat shop in your area and they a fuel system treatment .

Sad to say Thomas neither of those options is good for gas a year old. gas with ethanol in it even 10% ethanol which is pretty much country wide has a shelf life of about 7 days before it starts breaking down. old gasoline, before ethanol, would last a couple of monthes before break down started.

if the tank is already down take out all of the old gas and dispose of it properly.

what do you think all the Soldiers coming home from Iraq are doing? takin their 15 month old fuel to drop off points? hellz no, their driving it, and adding new..

f*ck i just got my dually running again, its got a tank full of 3 year old fuel.. even passed emissions testing with the old fuel.

really?? i mean, it is Five Gallons.. but it has been sitting for a while.. maybe ill fill up and put a lil bit in and mix it?? I would rather use it then throw it away.

my s10 sat for 4 years with old gas. i topped it off with 91 and drove it then went to regular. it wouldn't go over 65 mph until the old gas was out though.
