It negates the need for an upper control arm, that's the only thing I could think of.

Got the passenger side pump mounted. The bulkheads didn't need to be staggered on this side, but I figured I would match the other side...Then I started on the suspension up front. Pretty standard Mac strut up front...On to the rear, where it was a bit unique. The hub is actually welded to the strut. The brake assembly bolts to the hub/ strut assembly. It is pretty weird, but it accepted the hydraulic cylinder pretty well. I cut the strut just under the factory coil bucket. This allowed the cylinder to go all the way to the bottom of the factory strut. So I drilled a hole in the bottom of the strut for the fitting to come through. I will have to get some more fittings to route the hose where I want it to go. I drilled a hole and welded a nut onto the factory rear strut and the struts I made for the front so that I could use a bolt as a set screw to try and keep down on any noise.

MacPhersons cut down on assembly time and parts. Its only purpose was to save cost.
