Truck is too loud...

I built an exhaust system for my Tacoma during the main build a while back and its just tooo loud. I have a Downey header, followed by a magnaflow hi-flow catalytic converter, then a magnaflow resonator hi-flow, followed by a magnaflow muffler that is also hi-flow. Its all ran with 2.5" piping and with a turn down and the end of it. And no, there are no leaks in the system.

WTF do I need to do to it so I can hear my radio in my truck and be able to talk to someone in the passenger seat. Its annoying as hell and im tired of it.

ummm smaller tubing and not a hi-flow muffler

The length of the magnaflow muffler will have a lot to do with the sound. They sell a couple different lengths. I had the longest one available on my old titan. I heard another titan a buddy of mine owned that had the shorter one and there was a huge difference in sound.

I believe the one I have is 14" long. Its all nice stuff, stainless and what not.

I wont be redoing the exhaust completely till I stock floor the truck. I will run smaller tubing then.

What if I removed the Resonator from the setup completely?

get rid of that turn down and get it out from under your truck.. that is where the annoying sounds are coming from.. keep the resonator otherwise that muffler will get really annoying figure out a spot to get the tail pipe out either the side, back, wheel well.. somewhere that is not under the truck.. and you will be much happier.

I had this same issue on my truck, I am running a single 3" exhaust hi flow magnaflow cat and muffler, I had the worst drone on earth because I had a turn down before the axle under the truck.

I added some more 3 inch pipe over the frame and exits in front of the rear tire now, much better, drone is gone, and now sounds cleaner when taking off.
