Hi, I have a bagged '99 Ford Ranger that I'm working on and I recently purchased a suicide hinge kit with small bear claw latches from AVS and I have plans on making the install this weekend I was just wondering if anyone on here had any info, tips, possibly some pictures of the process to make the installation go smoother. Hit me back ASAP, I really appreciate it. Thanks

i did mine on an 02...i dont have write up, but the only important things that come to mind are, Z'in the hinges, extending the wires, and since I didnt want to "platte the door sheel , i crafted a support out of 1x1 ..i think a picture wiil be better...I also used the factory latches/strikers..i put the latch in the lower portion of the B piller and fabb'd an adapter to accept the factory latch cable and a 10 speed derailer cable so that I could use the factory interior door handle...shoot me your email, i can send pics..its been over threes years, and I only had to replace the screws that came with the kit, the jeads strip out way tto easy during adjustment....

also, recess the area to the inside of the jamb to allow the door close completely..

i ran the wires and door release cable through the two stirker holes you see inthe jamb.. still to this day..:-) Im thinking of sendthem throuh the hinger itself for a cleaner look..don't know yet...

Cool thanks dude! I shot you a instant message with my emailSo you could send those pictures off. Appreciate it. I'm looking to keep the factory handles on the stock location to throw people off. Does anyone know if this is possible? And will I be able to keep my seat belt, this is going to be done on my daily and I read that some people couldn't keep their seat belts?

THe carpet is form Stock Interiors....being in Germany, it;s more cost effective to order on line... the carpet is good for the price, only neede a little more persuasive manipulation around the trans tunnel area..
