I figured it was time to build a truck for my youngest son. He's hardcore into any kind of truck from minis to monsters. Whenever we go anywhere he asks, "can we take your show truck?". He really didn't stand a chance since we brought him home from the hospital in a crew cab dually with Social Distortion playing just loud enough in the background. I'm sure putting head phones on my wife's stomach while she was pregnant playing everything from A.F.I. to ZZ Top didn't help either. Anyway I figure what 3 year old doesn't need a laid out 94' S10 on 20" Centerlines. Right??? So here it goes let me know what you guys think.
Started off with a cab I scored off of Craigslist for $50 and a parts truck that I picked up for $300 before he was born that had been swamped when hurricane Isabel rolled through the Baltimore area.
Time for paint, he chose DYNOCO Blue
Onto the interior. Some sailboat grade vinyl worked out nicely.
OK now for the fun part. Cutting it apart and putting it back together. The cat helpedDid a dragster style riveted windshield frame.Anyone remember a little show called The Indy Truck Bash? Well the last year of that show we were talking my wife's Blazer up there from Baltimore and I managed to nail the hell out of a piece of iron ore that came from the mines and destroy the drivers front wheel. I replaced it and held onto the damaged one. Glad I did it's coming in handy for this project. And that's it. Except for the side mirror and a few odds and ends we're all done. Ohh and if the thread title didn't give it away did I mention it's a bed? Now back to my S10
