First, i would like to wish you good luck on your first attempt at tinting. What kind of vehicle are you tinting? Each car has its own set of tricks i could personally recomend. what kind of window film are you thinking of. I have been tinting for 15 years and from experience i can tell you that cheap tint will just make the job harder than it has to be. make sure the film you purchase is automotive grade and "shrinkable" and find out which method of shrinking the manufacturer recomends. Tinting is not impossibly hard but you will need patience, soapy water, a heat gun, a variety of squeegies, razor blades, a razor knife, a garage with a clean wet floor to keep down the dust and lots of patience... notice patience is listed twice! maybe a local shop could sell you tint already compter cut to your car, that would take one of the hard steps out of your way.
