Heres a question for everyone. with the new 'stance' 'fatlace' 'hellaflush' or whatever you wanna call the newish fad where the 'ricers' have converted from wings and stickers to getting their rides low with wide wheels and sometimes even bagging sporty cars like wrxs and such (which i am a fan of btw).. when that fad dies out do you think people will look at minis differently?

well for myself owning a honda thats bagged an it being based off of mini truckin style i kinda dont like this new style of front wheel drive cars putting these small wide ass wheels n making there cars have all this camber its kinda retarted looking n looks like the suspension is broken. i see a bunch of these cars down here in florida and they look at my car thats low an tucking 19s like im doing something wrong lol its just not my taste as far as front wheel drive cars go. now as far as the rear wheel drive cars go i like that VIP kind of style because those are the cars that are able to run wide an be low and the people that have these type of cars usually have money an are well thought out.

but i do like the fact that more people are getting into installing air ride or hydros in there cars

i was looking at a photo of a mid engine bodydropped frontier and in the comments some kid stated that he hates the way the wheels are so sucked in just to turn while low.

i like a clean vip car as much as the next guy, but most of the kids are just little fan boys. i had low offset wheels on my accord wagon in my profile but i only did that cause it was the only way to make them fit.

im just happy to see younger kids still into car and not just fancy cell phones and video games.

but i will add, i hate the poke crap, looks like a car out of the early 90's. corrola's with rev 13x7's

Juicedwagon, that was my frontier. I did it that way so i can roll low and turn good.. some vehicles look good with that VIP look, but some of those you just cant drive cause alot of the roads are too bad and that big lipped rim, is going to kiss the asphault..

Oh I understand why you narrowed your track width. I just think its funny all the fanboys are trying to throw their two cents in when they don't know or understand why it's like to be bodydropped and covering lose to half a wheel and driving. Your truck is bitchin, that comment was in no way saying anything bad about your truck. Your build is one of few I follow, love it.

I know you didnt mean anything bad by it. Ya you are right though, i think that was the only negative comment i have gotten on my truck.. Thanks for the compliments though appreciate it.

I don't mind some "stanced" vehicles but my biggest problem is the people doing them think they are building the best thing around when 90% of it is just bolting on a bunch of parts. No actual fab work. I could have dumped 4 grand into coils and what not in my saturn and got a stanced look. Or I could do the same and have actual fab work done to it. You can stance a car in a weekend (as long as the parts are there) its alot harder to do that with a mini truck. Cutting and welding takes time!

(By no means does this apply to ALL of the builds, but I feel it does for most)

You guys sounds like a bunch of old men! Get with the times and embrace the fact that these guys are still customizing cars. lol Reminds me of all the older hotrod guys looking down on me when I pulled into the parking lot in my primered minitruck that I put my heart and soul into (hypothetically).
