Ideas for my false floor

Im working on the false floor in the trunk of my T'Bird and incorporating a cover for the spare tire well that I had originally planned to just hinge it so it will come strait up but with the trunk latch cover in place i'd have to trim the lid quite a bit in order to clear it. So while pondering ideas I thought it would be cool to be able to put the lid on some sort of a roller system so I could just slide it back without having to trim it more but im having a hard time figuring a way to pull it off because the lid sits flush with the rest of the floor so it would have to pop up and then slide backward. Anybody have any ideas that I could use to pull this off?Heres a few pics to show you what im working with...
