Are the push on plastic air line fittings really good, or am I better off using brass with an insert and ferrule?

Replacing plastic fittings down the road is not on my want to do list...

I have used these fittings and I have no complaints. (link below) I used the plastic fittings on my first truck and I was constantly chasing leaks. On the next truck I used compression fittings like you described and while they never leaked they were more time consuming to assemble right.

Thanks.

So you're suggesting push on fittings are okay, just use metal not plastic?

Brass with the inserts are the way to go. I've never had leaks with those, ever.

I too use airridefittings.com, and my entire car for the most part is plastic PTC fittings, I daily drive it with zero leaks. I've left it up for 3-4 days, with out losing any pressure.

Nickle platted PTC all the way, never have any leaks or line blow outs.
