Stainless Hardline Airline?

Ive browsed and searched but can't seem to find a concrete answer.. Looking to run all stainless hardlines on my truck and was not sure what I needed to be looking for to buy.. Would stainless brake line work? What is everyone using and where are they buying from? Also what are my best bets for fittings? Thanks!

i use swagelok stainless line, works great, pretty cheep, and the fittngs for it are fantastic because no flare is necessary.

I used 3/8'' stainless tube from my tanks to bulk head fittings in the bed floor & brass push to connect fitting from there to my manifolds & to the bags. AN fittings are use on the stainless tube. This set up allows me to remove the bed with tanks,pumps & all left in it!
The stainless tube & AN fittings I got from a hot rod shop that sells fittings & such.
6' lengths of tube can be found @ Gringer.
You will need a good tube bender,one for stainless.
There are other fittings that work,but the AN type are reusable & seal very well,just a little pricey !

I used 3/8 Aluminum (much cheaper than stainless) with compression fittings. I was told that the aluminum would eventually crack...I've been running daily for 6 months now with no problems, nor leaks.

I've been running 3/8" stainless in my truck for close to 10 years now without a problem. I use a compression type fitting that doesn't require a flare.

I know youre asking about hardline, but Ive found it more reliable and cheaper to run full steel braided lines on mine. After realizing i can get complete hoses made from a local shop here for cheaper than just buying push to connect fittings, its the route I took. I really wanted to hardline at least the tank to valves, it just wasnt as cost effective versus the steel braided.

I am using 3/8 stainless...i got my 4' lengths on ebay. I also am using swagelok fittings....they are pricey but do not require a flare to seal which is why i went with them. I also got those off of ebay. seems to be the most cost effective way if you map out your system and buy a lot of surplus fittings from a supplier on ebay...one fitting can run upwards of $20 if you buy them individually. Also i got a bender from imperial that runs abut $60...the swagelok bender was over $200...this bender works beautifully.

Thanks for the info.. What thickness wall should i look for. And typically what size line is everyone runnin?

im in the airforce we run aluminum hard lines in all the acft in the airforce with 3000+ psi everyday for the last 30+ years never seen one crack they get dented easy and chaff threw easy but if there spaced properly youll be fine...
