I am getting ready to bag my Titan on 24s. Not my first rodeo with bags. Rear end is off at moser getting the axles narrowed 3 1/2 per side now. Questions on the front. Do you have to tub the fire wall to clear 24s, brake booster a problem???? Do you have to have spindles of control arms to lay. Haven't looked too much yet, but figured I ask and see if I could get some input. Thanks in advance.

Edited: 2/8/2013 10:39:31 AM by nvrloenuf
Some people will say that you do not need to tub the firewall with 24s but I am not sure what tires they are running.. I have baby tires on my 26s 275/25/26 which is almost exactly equal to 305/30/24 and had to cut into my firewall pretty heavy and move my brake booster over 3". So if they are not tubbing the firewall then they are sitting dead on the tire and there is no free rolling whatsoever.

I ran spindles from BIO and loved them. There is a guy named Alec who has one layed out and Z'd on 26s and he is running stock spindles and control arms. So they are not required but are nice. If you contact Jimmy's Rod and Customs, I think he still has or has access to a full custom set of BIO spindles.

I have all my build pics and stuff if you need.
Here is the build link with some of the pics. http://www.infamousnissan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21920

Nice build. Looks killer. What's the offset on your wheels??? How much did you narrow the axle. I didn't see it in your thread, but I may have just missed it. Any pics of the linkage under the dash for moving the booster?? I'm getting everything in advance because the truck is my daily and I want to keep downtime to a minimum. Your pics helped a lot. Thanks!!!

You know what, I don't remember what the offset is on the wheels.. You can call Status if it is something you really need.. I know they told me once, I just don't remember. I also narrowed my rear end by Moser and I did 2.5" on each side.

And what I did underneath the dash was took the brake arm out and added an arm to it so my pedal wasn't moved at all.

Hey this is Alec, sorry im not sure if u will have to tub the firewall without a Z'd front clip, it outta be close, but if thats in the plan then i would say you more then likely will, and the booster will more then likely need moved as i imagine the tires will sit in farther then the stock wheels being wider........as far as a arms go, u can get away with stockers if the tire is about the same height as the stock wheels and tires, i ended up going all out once i got the 26s, it was about 1" away from laying as the ball joints maxed out and i didnt wanna do the whole pie cut uppers to fix it. i ended up building new steering parts, steering knuckles with uniballs for the uppers, kept stock style lower ball joints, and built lower control arms also. and moved the wheel mounting point up 1.5" in the new knuckles to get it to lay out without any problems binding anything up. there are some cell phone pics from my old phone on infamousnissan.com ill post a link.....hopefully this will help alittle

heres the link to the album if the pics dont show up

Bodied to lay fenders(1.5"), Z'd to lay flat, and the droop in the rear of the frame was shaved, on 305/30/26s

Using 3" spindles from Bio Kustumz, I was able to lay my front crossmember with a 305/30/26. I would highly suggest these spindles since they will keep your suspension geometry in line and will save you a ton of time (keeping your stock upper and lower control arms). I obviously had to tub my firewall and move over my booster (which was very easy on this truck). I know Jimmy cut the 'hump' out of the back of his frame and z'd the front to match. If you cut out that hump, you will have to make some adjustments to your fuel tank as well. They're pretty simple trucks to lay out. Good luck with it!

How much are they charging for the rear end. I was debating going with a chevy rearend if it wasn't as wide? After dropping 800 on spindles I hate to drop a grand on an axle too.

I haven't sent them yet, but all the ones I've done in the past were around $200
