Use a #2 phililips screwdriver to take the screws out of the lower steering column cover and then remove the cover. There are two anti-tamper bolts holding the mechanical part of the switch in place. Use a chistle and a hammer to tap he screws loose and then remove them. You won't be reusing them. That will allow you to swap out your broken key part after you swap out the electrical part of the switch. I think the replacement screws I used were 8 x 10 mm
