My reason for not subscribing is above. From what I hear everyone has problems with the delivery as well.

maybe this is the reason that mags are failing, cant buy them if they are not there. I went to wal-mart the other night and i couldn't find it, all they had was truckin and street trucks. at one time i had a subscription and i only received a few mags.

never had a problem when I had a subscription and I'm about as far away as you can get in the US

They will also look after you if you miss an issue.  I get my mags in a timely fashion and I'm in Canada. It was slow last year for awhile but seems to have really improved.  Its also a hell of a lot cheaper to subscribe, so does it really matter if it comes a week later than walmart has it on shelves? I dont think there is ever really any breaking news in the MT world that isnt online first.

yeah but its just the point it use to be you would get the next months mag damn near the time the previous month came on stands  i think that made since but incase it didnt  you would get feb mag when jan mag came out in walmart   now you get it the same time if not after   i agree there is no big news you dont see on the web but its just the point  its things like this that makes people not buy mags  i probably wont resubscribe and only might buy it on news stands  its mostly the principle of things  people who subscribe are people who are passionate about the magazine and should not be put on the back burner  im not saying should be treated better but those people are the ones who are keeping the mag around because when your subscription runs out you are more then lickly going to get it again   just my 2 cents on that    i know ssm is good about taking care of the people who subscribe to them and that is why i will never not have a membership on here

They are pretty hard to find at stores around here too but thats why I have a subscription. Might find them at one walmart here but usually have to go to Barnes & Noble or Books a Million.

First off, I understand your anger with subscription services. There is nothing we can do to help this. The magazines are printed and distributed by a whole different company for MT. Infact the magazines are printed in Tennessee i think. The point is, MT is not to blame for this. We do what we can to crank out a killer issue every month and trust us, it hurts to see people say they wont buy the magazine because of a few issues didn't get shipped or what-knot about subscribers. We're doing everything we can to help fix this problem. Secondly, Subscribers are never put on the "back burner". Do remember this though, subscribers only pay a fraction of the price of newstand copys. Subscriptions to me are basicly a convinence with-out the convienence charge.  It saves you the headache of looking for an issue (as stated by someone else above) and saves you money from the newstand price. In this economy I'm sure you've felt the pain as well as we have. So remember that we may have cut some stores out of our distribution that doesn't sell well. This may be an answer to finding issues on news stands. If your wondering when every new issue is on stands....It's the FIRST tuesday of every month like the 2009 calendar says. And before you say anything, The newstand guys "Pay" for the calendar. If it was up too us. Everyone would get one but it just doesn't work that way. We continue day in and day out to make this magazine better every month for us and for you. I for one would love to hear some positive feedback in this tough times instead of negative. Tell us what you like about the magazine, stories, tech, colomns. I'm not saying hold back your opinions but even it out a little  Sorry for this book i wrote. I hope this helps anyone understand some things. Thanks.   ---------------------------------------------Originally posted by SHELLHARTyeah but its just the point it use to be you would get the next months mag damn near the time the previous month came on stands  i think that made since but incase it didnt  you would get feb mag when jan mag came out in walmart   now you get it the same time if not after   i agree there is no big news you dont see on the web but its just the point  its things like this that makes people not buy mags  i probably wont resubscribe and only might buy it on news stands  its mostly the principle of things  people who subscribe are people who are passionate about the magazine and should not be put on the back burner  im not saying should be treated better but those people are the ones who are keeping the mag around because when your subscription runs out you are more then lickly going to get it again   just my 2 cents on that    i know ssm is good about taking care of the people who subscribe to them and that is why i will never not have a membership on here---------------------------------------------

I have been a subscriber to MT for 4 years now, last year i missed an issue.  so i called mt on this and they extended my subscription by one issue.  Thats good customer service in my opinion and i will continue to be a loyal MT subscriber.  If ur missing an issue call em, they cant know the issues with the subscription services if we dont bring them up, respectfully.
