Is one better then the other? I see you get 2 viairs for around 100 bucks more then 1 air zenith. I'm still new to the air world.

AZ is a good compressor, the problem is it pulls way more amps than Viairs do and people wouldnt wire them properly. They would burn up easily and not many people sold rebuild parts. Add in the fact an OB2 is $100 more than a viair 480 and they just didnt sell that well.

from my experience a lot of the air zeniths have burnt up. i am on my same 480s daily driven for 8 years. they are slower but for my money viair are more dependable.

Same here,I run dual 380's ,they have going strong for 8 years!!
I do run Air Zenth air filters on them as they are K&N's!!

I'm planning out my setup now, probably going with (2) 5 gallon seamless aluminum tanks (specs says their more like 3.5 gallon actual volume) would one ob2 az be enough to handle this? Its going into a 94 big body fleetwood, re6 up front and re7 out back, oh and I'm not super switch happy either

Viair recommends you put no more than 5 gallons on a single compressor, but thats viairs recommendation with their parts.
