Can I use a passenger seat on the driver's side?

I have an original Mazda driver's seat on my '89 B2200 Cab Plus that, like many, has begun to tear and show signs of wear. It's pretty much a lost cause, unfortunately. But I did find a parts truck with the same interior color as mine (grey) with a pristine passenger side seat. I'm wondering if there is any way to swap out my driver's seat for that passenger seat/switch the hardware to the other side of the seat, etc. Any help would be appreciated!

Never tried it, might work. If it is at a pull a part place go ahead and try it before you leave.

It works just fine. I have mine set up that way... for now. The only thing that might be of concern is the recline lever is next to the transmission tunnel.

on mine i swopped arround the cloth and the spunge was quite a job but it can be done.
