Greetings, guys! I am fairly new to the forum and I finally just got all of the A/C brackets that I needed to put an A/C in my 1988 Mazda B2200 which did not have any A/C components or brackets when I purchased the truck from the original owner for $300 a while back. He had completely removed it all like a dummy for some reason which is not smart here in Alabama. Now that I have pieced together all new A/C components and the A/C compressor brackets I am a little confused on how or where these brackets mount on the engine block on the exhaust side. If someone could snap couple of pictures of their A/C set up with the A/C brackets with compressor mounted on the exhaust side of the engine block and post them it would be greatly appreciated so that I can finally finish installing an A/C in this truck. It still gets pretty warm here in Alabama even in the winter months ha ha as its like 79 out today on this oddly spring-like Saturday in December. I have attached pics of all the brackets that I finally pieced together so you guys can see them. They have all been cleaned up and painted VHT high temp gloss black as well to match my engine bay.

Hey bud.. never been that far south or had a mazda with working ac but up here in Washington I never cared for it ..

I have had lots of trucks with ac and tool it off..

If I remember right the picture of the L shaped bracket with 3 holes bolts right to the block just under the head.. then the pump pivots off of that

Chuck - I'm in Arizona, and the 1988 B2200 I drive (since 1994) has complete working AC system. So if you post here your E-mail address I can take some photos of mine and E-mail to you, way easier for me than trying to upload, I have trouble with this site's new software.

I've swapped out the AC compressor on mine several times but never had the mounts off the truck. And mine has Power Steering, does yours?

Hi, FoxFamily and Cusser! I have been busy out of town with my job all week and just returned home today so thanks for your replies. Cusser you can definitely email those photos to duttyyea@yahoo.com whenever you get the chance or after the XMAS holiday if you are busy scrambling trying to do some last minute shopping like I am ha ha. Anyway, those photos will be much appreciated and hopefully I can finally finish my new A/C installation sometime early in the new year. The highs will still get up into the 70's somedays in January here in Alabama as we never seem to get any prolonged freezing temperatures during the winter months especially during the day so somedays you will need the heater and many days the A/C would be still needed. Anyway have a Merry XMAS and Happy Holidays guys!

Sending E-mail with photos. At least several of the mounts are exactly the same.
