Hello, recently i had the drivers side axle replaced. As I pull it out of my mechanics shop I put it in first gear, let the clutch out, nothing No movement not even a jump. It goes into first fine just no movement in first, gears no 2,3,4,5, or R either. I can honestly start it, put it in gear, release the clutch and it like its in neutral.
I thought maybe the clutch was bad but that doesn't make sense to me. I drove it two days ago the clutch didn't slip, chirp, the pedal felt nice, how can just up and die? I'm wondering if maybe theres an issue with the axle? how can I tell if it's all the way in?

Get someone to see if you driveshaft is spinning while in gear with the clutch pedal released. If the drivehsaft is spinning, problem is in rear end, if it is not spinning, problem is in transmission/clutch area. How did you pull out of your mechanics shop with no drive? Why did you not go right back in there, and say its not fixed?
