Picked up a pickup for my farm.
Bronze, Excab, "Sport", 130k miles, $500.
First step is to change oil and filter.
Picked up 5 qts Valvoline 75k+ w/ Fram High Mile filter yesterday, will change when sunrise.

Next thing, and what I'm asking for input on, is what y'all think might be loose or worn in the steering linkage, because it floats and yaws.

Last thing for now, but not most important thing compared to steering, is that I need to replace my power booster in the brake system. If y'all have experience, let me know.

Thanks.

Are you talking about excess play when turning the steering wheel? The steering box worm adjustment may help with that.

I've replaced the brake power booster before, did not have to disconnect the brake lines either. I just unbolted the brake master and moved it gently a few inches forward, unbolted the booster and slid it out. The pushrod clearance to the brake master cylinder should be adjusted if necessary so free play/clearance is similar.

The truck only uses 4 quarts, 5 is too many.
