Hey all - been a minute since I posted, had to garage the ol' project truck but I'm bringing her back from the grave once again.

Trying to check the timing but I can't find the timing marks. The manual says they're on the lower timing cover, the drawing looks similar to this picture http://www.mazdatrucking.com/B2200/Timing/B2200_TDC_Sm.jpg

My lower timing cover has no marks - it's totally smooth. I'm wondering if it's not the original cover. Or I could just be looking in the wrong place.

Does anyone have a picture of the marks on their '86 (or similar)? Just so I know exactly what I'm looking for?

I think the B2000 timing stuff is different than the B2200 in your picture. See photo at http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-B2000-Lower-Timing-Belt-Cover-2-2L-1987-To-1993-/281495737185?hash=item418a741361:g:ybkAAOSwQM9UY-bd&vxp=mtr

There is one line on the bottom cover and two marks on the pulley on the B2000. There is a yellow painted mark at 6BTDC and a white mark for TDC. Hope this helps.
