Hey guys, for a start I'm from new zealand and a 3rd year heavy diesel apprentice, i just picked up a 1991 ford courier with a r2 engine I believe , it has snapped the crank off at the timing belt pully.
First things first, I'm guessing it is an interference engine, so it's stuffed.
And I'm nz I can't locate any diesel engines for them so next question is.
What petrol engines bolts in?
I can get a 626 2ltr petrol from a mate. But will I need gearbox + driveshaft?
Any help be great as
I'm pulling the old engine out after work tomorrow.
