Hi guys,

I have a 1994 B2200 from UK with an R2 diesel engine fitted.

I have an issue with the glowplugs that basically wont start the engine from cold, ive replaced the glowplugs with new ones but still no luck.

When hooking up a jump lead direct from battery live to the top of glowplugs the truck starts first turn, so i assume theres a problem with the glow plug circuit.

Recently when this cold start issue started to happen, i was cranking the engine with and saw some smoke coming from the LHS engine bay by where the the fusebox and some relays are, checked all the fuses and cant see anything wrong, so possibly relay.

I took a picture of the relay i think might be busted, but wanted to see if you guys can confirm its for the glowplugs before I go to the dealer and try to find a replacement (the part number has rubbed off on this relay)

I've checked the connections at the glowplugs and everything seems cool, any ideas before I try to replace the relay?

Thanks in advance!

Before I would throw money at a relay which may be good and money wasted I would want to find a wiring diagram from the circuit and make sure there isn't a timer circuit board that is supposed to energize the relay or a corroded ground on a wire somewhere not allowing the relay circuit to complete. My .02.
