Mazda b2200 efi engine with egi, how to tell?

How do I determine if my 1990 b2200 xtra cab with 2.2l efi motor has egi? What does egi stand for? How to tell if my motor has it? Thanks for the help

Is this in regards to smog equipment? If so, I think you might mean EGR valve, which is Exhaust Gas Recirculation.

Nope. I was looking at a new ignition and it states its for a 2.2l sohc with egi. I believe it stands for electronic gas injector for F.I. equipped b2200. The ignition in question is the aip complete ignition with dist. Cap etc.

I've been researching what egi stands for but can't find anything. Any help from anyone would be awesome.

Don't know what egi is, but that pic has the right distributor for an efi 2200.
