, I started to smooth my bed caps down last week and got the drivers side done, wet sanded and primed. You beat me to all the cool shit!! lol

next you need to cut about 6 inches off that frame..

Did the caps come out looking like a normal top bed rail? or are they kinda wavy? and did you leave that little line on the outside edge?

the caps came out a tad wavy. more or less from the mold. i kept that little line just for an add'd touch. other then that they are pretty good.

I shot a little color on the one I have smoothed out today and I'm afraid its going to be super wavy with the clear on.....Do you know how they smoothed them? I just used my D-A and I think I need to block the ever living crap out of it!! I hate blocking!!!!

danm your just sanding all the texture off? on mine will fill primed then blocked it then fill primed then blocked. i think he did 3 coats of high build ppg primer and blocked them then sanded the line back in then sealed it then sprayed the base then 3 coats of clear, wet sanded then buffed and polished. the will come out a tad wavy but i dont think you will notice it at all since its white. you notice mine a bit becuse it reflects the blue in the sky.
