im thinking chroming just of the ease to keep them clean and shiny. i hate polishing. its my daily and these wheels see all the weather. plus i think a good chrome job looks awsome. if i can find someone local to give them a good polishing id be down for sure....

oh, and would it be a safe bet to say mine is the first with stretched fenders in the bodystyle i have????

i dont like those fenders with the shaved bodyline...sick82s looks way better to me but both are sweet as hell

Fenders came out beautiful. Definitely post some pics when shes all cleaned up and those wheels are blingin'!

do you got any pics of cutin the fenders and what you patch them with fiberglass? cause i know them bed sides are made out of some weird type of plastic right?

the way i cut the fenders were on the flatinst areas possible. i pannel bonded 16 gauge sheet metal to the inside first. cut the area. welded in new peices. drilled holes threw both sections and grinded down the plastic a bit so the fiberglass could adhear better. i layed about 5 layers of glass matt, then the rest was kitty hair to get the shape.
very time consuming but we couldnt figure out if the lastic would crack out of the fiberglass or not so we did it the hard as f*** way. turned out awsome and stouter then hell. i also fiberglassed the bottoms over the metal. so the area the was widened is about 1" thick.
ill have to measure again. but i think lip to lip is 8'8".
yea i LOVE this body style! thats why i opted for the 07 classic. i get the best body style imo, best d-max lbz, alli 6 speed with tap up and down imo, and the best interior. imo. i HATE the 08+ interiors, i have a 09 dmax work truck and the seats are already destroyed.......
