Ok I have read a ton of build threads looking for info on static drops.
can anyone tell me what problems I might run into,
my old truck 84 crew with a 6/8 static and 16x225 tires worked out excellent.
The new truck is 85 single cab and I would like to run a static kit with 22's
what mods are needed ?
c notch,c&c rear end,remove inner front wells?
I want to run 22's in and out on the rear also.
thanks for any input.

Definitely going to need a c-notch, and either c&c rear, townastys from Tennessee Wheel and Tire, or widen your fenders. As for the removal of the fenders im not sure on that one.

I love static drops.sounds like nice plan bro. I hate when people say do it the right way and bag it. Nothin wrong with static.

Yep air it out is my own opinion if ya wanna do the static go foe it. Ive had quite the few wtatic drop trucks and they r legit. Bags or static either way its lowered and looks good

Thanks for the input everyone,
my bad, on some info I gave you,
22's in and out on the rear will need links and bags im sure with a c&c rear, but the front clearance is what im trying to figure out if I can get away with 22's and a three inch spindle and 2-3 inch spring. 5/6" drop is the question?
And the next is 3/4 ton hubs pull the front wheels in how much ?
I have heard a bunch / so much that you need to go to new a arms.
Oh dont get me wrong I love bags too, for the compact use they provide.
I have experienced on other builds to keep one eye on the budget because the shit isnt worth half of what you put into it money wise.
I talked to trevor on wheels a long time ago he is the man for wheels,
for sure.
although I like it,I dont need to lay frame, I just want to clean up a used truck instead of buying a new one. (cant leave shit stock either).
I also would like to give you guy's mad credit for the stuff your building,
Its always cool to share knowledge with like minded people,
Keep on rollin or draggin in our case !

Well i got 22s up front, the springs im not sure cuz im sitting on bags, but i can tell u i got the 3" drop spindles and i pulled the wheel wells and where the inner fender is when i lay it all the way down it is about an 1/8" inch front hitting it
I still have about an inch from laying the front frane down and the cross member
I know peeps shorten their arme but we just cupped mine.
And i cant atest to the 3/4 front spindles or hub

Hope this gives u a lil help

So i guess im sayin j shoukd be able to get away with that setup cuz im doin it with bagz u have spings so it wont b that low and the tires wont stick out to far where they hit the inner fender
