Hi kids. It's your Uncle Campy here.
This weeks question was emailed to me by our little buddy, Door. The topic is aimed at our younger crop of D.S.ers. Specifically the ones that still live at home. Let's just dive right in...
Door writes: "Uncle Campy, when will I know it's time for me to leave the comfort and safety of my parents home, to branch out on my own?"
Hmm. Good question, Door.
Well kids, nature has its own way of letting you know. Often with subtle hints and internal desires of ones own personal freedom. Sometimes, a family conflict can help urge oneself to take the first step. Other times, it becomes apparent to both parties that the time has come for the young offspring to spread his wings...and fly.
Your Uncle Campy remembers, quite fondly, his first grocery shopping trip upon securing his first place of residence. Yes kids, for years my kitchen was a virtual single man's Nirvana. Stocked with such delights as frozen pretzels, vats of ice cream, any kind of red meat imaginable, Pop Tarts, cookies (oh Lordy, the cookies!) and every Hostess snack know to humankind.
However, it is important to remember that one should not rush such a monumental moment. Take plenty of time and research all your options.
Unless of course, this happens to you...
Then it's time to get the hell out of Dodge.
Quickly.
