I have an 88 R30 with a 454 that I tow with weekly. It gets a little warmer that I would like on a long uphill pull with the A/C on. I know the electric fan does no run when the A/C is on. should I look at that first? Its not that big of a fan. Or should I upgrade to an aluminum radiator? I have already put a shroud, which was missing, and a 165 thermostat in it and that helped a bunch. I would like to keep the temp under 210 on the uphills.

i had a 94 that someone added an auxiliary fan to the condenser that came on anytime the a/c was on. i never towed with it but they did. my 95 has one stock. make sure your clutch on the primary fan is working good. I'm on my 3rd dually and they all have needed a new fan clutch

when was the last time you flushed your rad?

and fans dont work at highway speeds.

if you have an aluminum rad or even thinkin of getting one, do it. you wont have any more problems.
