Just changed all my hoses on my @8 chevy dually with a 454 and filled it with coolant. Seems like I have to keep adding water to it to top it off every time I open the cap. I let it run till the thermostat opened and topped it off. I don't have a coolant over flow on it so not sure if it is just running out though the vent that goes to that or not. What do most ppl do when they bag them and remove that over flow?

A full cooling system is gonna kick out the vent once it starts warming up, since the coolant/water mix expands. It has to go somewhere. That's why the reservoir bottle exists. You're gonna want to rig up something. Maybe go to a slick street rod style aluminum cannister that is a narrow upright style that fits into a smaller space. Check out Speedway's site and see what they have.
