I am currently running airlift 1r9's (technically goodyear) in the rear on a lift bars, but I am gonna relocate to over the axel, I am looking to get an enclosed trailer, but I was looking at the slam bag he 8's they say they lift 12" and the chart on the bottom shows that at 200psi it will lift 7000 lbs. I thought my 1r9's rated at 4400lbs were one of the biggest you could get but I must be wrong, is this true? does anyone use these slambags for hauling an enclosed car hauler? Or is there anything better to use...

I would stay away from airlifts, theyve been having trouble with the crimprings not being tight enough and the bag separating from the endcaps. I dont know anything about the 1R9s but if you go with 2 of the HE8s that will be more than enough. Thats 14000lbs of lift, half the weight of the truck is 3000lbs, so that still leaves you with 1100lbs of capacity. Id hate to see a trailer that has 1100lbs of tounge weight.
You can even get more load capacity by mounting the bags behind the axle.

Thanks for the input, the 1r-9's aren't the crimped style, but I certainly going to consider the slams, especially since I just put a pair of 7re's upfront on my ranger project, these are some heavy duty MO-FO's!
