Is the cup bigger in diameter than the top plate of the bag? If not than I don't have a clue of what is going on. It shouldn't be though. Can you take a picture??? The bag does have an internal bumpstop. It is designed to compress to 2.8 inches. So the endplates will actually sit in further than the rubber will when you totally compress it or be the same height. If you could physically squeeze the bag together in your hands you would see what I mean, but don't try it with a slam bag, you might bust a nut trying, firestones you can cuz the rubber is way more flexible.
