I've noticed that my airbags seem to have a slow leak.
after a few days of sitting the front is slammed & I did'nt park it that way.

& I've been thinking since I bought this truck that I'd like to add some Bump stops in the case of my bags Popping..

I bought this truck to tow my toys on trailers & if the front bags go out, I'm stuck & wont be going anywhere.

So thats why I've been thinking about bumping it at the point to where I can still get home if I have a airbag issue.

Not to mention that I'd be able to slam it while driving & not tear out my wheel wells.

I bet you have a slow leak in your fittings somewhere.

Someone I know set up their s-10 with bump stops just in case something happened. I towed with my truck bagged for 2 or 3 years and never had a problem. Just never thought blowing a bag I guess.

I had removable bump stops on my old 1/2 ton.. I would put them in on long road trips and when my wife would driive it. Then I could take them out and lay out..

don't slams have bumpstops in them allready?

Well mine front end drops to the point of the tires rubbing up against the wheel wells, So at least I think thats where it rubs?

& I wanna set it up to where I can drop it while driving & not Damage anything.
& also as i originally posted get my ass home if the bag goes bad.

I live in Burbank, California.
might any of you know of a good shop for this sorta work near me?

I also did the removable bump stop thing. It really isn't that hard. Do you have stock lower control arms or tubular?

Slams have "bumpstops" but they are in the center so if you roll without air the bag won't rub against itself and chew itself up.

Go to your local performance shop and you can probably get a set from energy suspension. Then it's simply a matter of finding a spot on the lca where it comes in contact with the frame. Drill a hole stick it in, bolt it up. If you really want to get creative weld the nut to the bottom of the lca where the bump stop will go through. Then just screw it in finger tight whenever you need it, throw it in the trunk when you don't.

Even if you pop a bag while on the road, you can just jack up the truck and put them in.

the bump stops cost like $20.00. Just measure the distance between the frame and the lca, and tell the performance shop-so they can order up the right ones.

That's what AAA is for.

If you've ever had to drive a significant distance on bump stops, you just a soon tow it the next time.

*OW*, my back...
