have you guys ever used western parts spec. 5/7 kit. or what is the best way to roll towing a 10000lb 24ft bumper pull. any input would help. kind of suck on either static drop or bag it.

I have used western's stuff in the past and it is good quality, but at least on the c/k series they only make a 2" spindle and a 3" spring where belltech has a 3" spindle. I originally bought the wc spindles but ended up replacing them with belltech to go lower.

There notches aren't the greatest and i would buy a belltech one as well.

would i be able to static drop the front with the 3" spindle and 3" coil and still run the coil air bag and not do any body mod.

also would it be better to flip the rear 8" with a c-notch and run slams 7xs bags as helpers or just 4link the rear and use slam 7xs. i just dont want to cut the bed up cause i need the room for my racing stuff when i go to the track.

On mine I never ran a 3" coil and spindle but doubted that it would work but I had bigger tires on than others run too. Just depends on tire size and I don't know on the squarebodies either.

As for the back I run a air ride tech airbar kit and works real good but expensive but is all under the stock floor.

I did run a flip with helper bags when I first did it and it worked fine as well hauling a 10000 lb trailer.

do you remeber what you had on your truck as setup for front and rear. i want to go as low as possible and trying not to cut the bed or bag it due to money. but if a bag setup would work due you hav any good suggestions.

If thats a pic of your truck in the first post, you have some meaty tires on it, which will cause some problems, what is the drop kit you have now?

When I first lowered my truck I ran a 2" spindle and 3" spring in the front and the back I did the flip kit with no notch but I ran some 2500lb firestones for overload bags. I ran stock tires for a long time but they did rub like a mofo. Then I went to the airbar on the back with a belltech notch, the western chassis notch would not work with the airbar. I ran that way for a year or so then bagged the front and went with a 3" spindle. THen I did a big notch on the back, added triple stack bags and it lays out on 19's, then did a bd at that time as well.

well to tell you the truth i bought the truck the way it is and do not know exactly wat it has in inches. i know it has slam ride bags in the rear with lowering leaf springs and in the front it looks like a coil drop and coil ride bags in them. this is why i want to do it all over again myself to ensure everything is done right. i really dont like the lowering leaf springs in the without a flip kit considering it gives me about 4" of total clarence between the springs and the chassis. i can see some rubbing marks on the chassis from them hitting. not good. as for the tires do you know of some tires that are E-Rated load. that would lower the truck more just doing that. would it be easier to just bag the truck instead of screwing with static lowering it?

No luck on low pro e or d rated tires. Nobody makes them, the highest weight rating I could find was like a 215/70/16 but still not a truck tire.

2 me it looks like maybe a 5/7 kit on your truck???? I don't really know anything about that body style so I can't tell for sure. Maybe just a 3/4 kit but hard to tell. Bagging it would give you the ride height you want and be able to slam it when you park but lots of $$ and you lose some of the dependability of your truck. Granted bags are real dependable but there is always a chance of something going wrong, worth it to me but just depends on your situation with it.

If it was me I would bag and bd that sumbich but that is just me.

yeah, if the bags are done right you should have no problem towing anything. but its not going to be that low with out cutting the bed.

I've got the Western spindles & hanger shackle kit on my truck for about 3 years now. No problems. I tow a 28ft enclosed loaded with race car and assorted stuff.
