Does anybody know the dimensions of a stock squarebody 1 ton coil? Specifically, the length.

Reason I ask is I got those old springs off of LoPhat, but I'm not sure if they are drop springs or not. I got to thinking this morning, that 77 he's working on didn't look too low and he said it already had spindles on it. That makes me wonder if these are even drop coils. I'd measure mine, but the trucks at the shop right now. All I have at the house are 1/2 ton coils.

I don't want to go to drop it this weekend and find out the springs are stock. If I have to, I can run over to Brother's in Corona and pick up a set of drop coils Friday, I just need to know.

Even if anybody has a set of drop coils laying around that they can measure, that would be helpful. At least I could compare those to the coils from LoPhat and get a ballpark idea of where I'm at.

Thanks Bros!

Screw it. Ordered a set of Western Chassis coils from Sport Truck Direct.

I'm an impatient prick.

Oh Campy I wasn't sure when I sent them to you. I think I sent a measuring tape picture showing them at around 13" or so?

I figured you had your old ones out and was able to compare...sorry about that dude, I really wasn't sure if they were drop coils or not.

Hope we're still cool? If you didn't send out the cash yet, don't worry about it. I don't want to take cash for something you can't use. It wasn't too much to ship them out.

DUDE!!! Mathis! Why you trippin, Holmes?

It's all good. I'll still use the shackles and whatnot. I just have to get off my lazy ass and send you some beer money.

But yeah, I measured the ones you gave me and came up with 14" and I went out to the truck and measured those and came up with 10".

So unless the springs you gave me compress down to 7", I think their stockers.

Don't worry about it. The guy who was going to notch it for me flaked out. He can't get to it for another three weeks. So I had to order a bolt in notch anyway, cause I can't weld for shit. I just went ahead and got some springs, too. It was only like 120 bucks or so. No biggie when your a baller.

Speaking of payment...you got paypal, or do you just want me to stick it in the mail?

I have a paypal acct, but it wigged out and locked me out last month cause I changed my internet provider and thus the email changed. Give me a couple days and i'll get it up and running again...glad we're still cool.

I'll PM you when I fix it all.

Later.
