This Question prob has been asked before but I couldn't find any info about it. I have seen steel semi wheels with low profile tires on them. I was wanting to know if they are shaving them down or are they just stretching the tire on the rim. If they are stretching them how safe would that be? Any info would be great, thanks.

stretching and its a no no with us very unsafe.... if you are wanting to do semis get some that are cut right and safe, dont skimp when it comes to that area ... talk to lockone who does wheels or some of the other sites on the 'net.. build it to be safe.....

Yep talk to lock..i've seen all these guys on the forums all like "what?nothin's happened yet!" seeing that shit makes me cringe...chop em down...that way we won't see you on the 6:00 news.

Thanks for the info. It seems like that wouldn't be very a very safe thing to do. Guess I will have to shell out the dough for aluminum wheels that are shaved down.

Unfortunately that is really the only way to do it.
