whats the prefered front suspension mount? plates or cups?

Well, Plates or cups? pro's and cons...

mine has cups...

His is a square and I think most guys use the plates. I plan on cutting the entire spring pocket out and using a universal bag mount, so I can run re8's.

i have the 2600 firestones... i know, i know.. they are oldschool.... i think the plates sit lower or no?

be gotam sure to cut enough out..i thought i "mauled" my spring cups but when the re8s broke in they stretched enough to rub the pocket 2 inches above the top of the bag....so if your planning on stepping up alter, might as well cut it big while your in there. truck looks a lot better mr bill

Flat plates and recess the lower Aarm if you plan on running big wheels.

My way is going to be better.

You just want to do more work than needed.

Actually I am going to wait till i get further along to decide how I do it. I didn't think you could get an re8 to fit. Even with recessing it in the lower.
