On my dually the skid plate under the engine hangs below the rails so it doesn't fully lay. I don't want to go through the work of Zing it so I have been doing some looking and measuring at raising the skid plate up which would give me the clearance but then I might have issues with the stock lowers not able to move far enough up to get it to lay. Any ideas or thoughts? But on another hand do you guys lay 22's with stock lowers? What mods if any to the frame are needed as far as notching for tierods or arms to articulate?

on the green truck i just had to notch for the tierods and that was it.. stock control arms uppers and lowers.

Did your rails lay though or just the skid plate?

the frame was less than 1/4 inch off the ground but probably would have layed before all the draggin before the 22's.

The crossmember on my 94 lays and the frame is almost 1" off of th ground.

Thats the way mine is about an 1" off the ground. I wonder if there were different frames for different motors and trans? Lilj yours was a manual right? what size motor?
liljlowrider   +1y
thats weird.. i had a 454 with a manual trans. it was a 2000 model but i wouldnt think that the frame would be different???? maybe for some reason it was though

on my 98 with a 350 it would lay flat rail as well as the control arm, on my 2000 with 454 the frame is less than 1/4 inch and the control arm and skid plate are hitting the ground...
