OK getting things together to start on the SFBD frame for my square body crew cab. gonna be setting it up to run 22" semis. i have a C&C rear.
but for the front i think ive heard that You can run 3/4 ton hubs and not need to narrow control arms? is this correct? if so will the 3/4 ton hubs fit up to 1 ton spindles?

thanks for the help.

I've heard it's a little to narrow, if so I'd widen the control arms to get the wheels where they need to be & get more lift. I don't see why you can't just put single wheel rotors on instead of down grading to 3/4 ton.

That's what I'm doing. Anyone know if the srw calipers and drw calipers are the same?

Single wheel rotors are the same as the 3/4 ton stuff, I used single rear wheel one ton front hubs on mine, same spindle, same brakes, just narrower (by 3.5") and I widened the control arms a bit. Also, I found a single rear wheel rearend (still 8 lug though) is a bit wider than a cab and chassis rearend and would fit much better under the flairs with all 4 aluminum wheels on the rear. The cab and chassis rear was a bit to narrow and looked kinda odd to me.

I'm in the prosses of putting together a tech on the sqbdy front ends and heres what I know so far the srw 1t spindles are the same going by part # on the back as the drw 1t's the 3/4t spindles are differant by the way the caliper mounts. son of a i forgot to pull massurements on roter thickness between 3/4 &1t and far as I know the control arms are the same because Ive swapped them out ether way they both use the same ball joints I hope that helps

one other thing the center hub flange on the srw 1t's rotor is larger then that on the drw so the 10 bolt wheel adapters center hole needs to be larger or beveled

The SRW axle housing & axle shafts are the same width as the C&C. All you need to do is swap out the brakes & hubs off your DRW axle to get it the same width as the C&C.

what is the difference between the 1/2 ,3/4,1 ton spindles could you use a set of 3 inc drop spindles from a 1/2 ton an put the 8 lug hubs on an then use a wheel spacer like my 97 dually had where you just attach it with some lug nuts instead of a complete dually front hub
