Ok I have a 97 crew cab chevy that I think I am just going to give a static drop to for now. I was just wondering the western 5/7 drop comes with 2" spindles and bell tech makes 3" ones. Knowing me I will more than likely bag it in the future. If I buy the western kit will I need to buy the 3" spindles later when I bag it or will it lay out with the 2" spindles?

With gas prices the way they are and with starting to rebuild the 6.5 turbo diesle that is in it I dont really feel like throwing money away.

Is this Billy?????

Western kits come with a 3" spring and 2" spindle and you need the 3" spindle to lay it out. Thats what I had to begin with and ended having to buy djm 3" spindles.

would it be cheaper to piece together a kit?

I purchased the western kit and it does come with a 3" spring and a 2" spindle. I was able to upgrade the kit with a 3" belltech spindle for $100.

Hmm...maybe they just give a 3" for the squares.

you can bag that truck on stock spindes.
But the best thing is to get the best geometry you can when its dropped so get the 3" spindles.
