1986 Crew Cab Big Block Square 6/10

Front: Western Chassis 3in. springs + 3 in. Belltech drop spindles with nitro drop shocks and custom tubs
removed bump stops and metal stands for bump stops

Rear: DJM 2" drop shackles, custom flip kit for C&C rear, step notch, relocated shocks, nitro drop shocks, custom tubs.
Western Chassis flip kit does not work with a square body C&C rear, a custom flip kit had to be made. Pulled overload leaves for smoother ride.

31.5 in. tall tires at the rear

29.4 in. tall tires at the front

Wouldn't change anything except bigger tires up front.

nice info here , looks to me like slam RE7 and 8 bags rule when it comes to airride
hows the ride comfort and wat pressure are you running in the bags i seen one running at 250 bar tankpressure , seems on the edge of the maximum pressure in a propane tank i want to use for airstorage

Here is my 1997 Chevy Dually. Basic Beltech 5/7 drop with the Beltech/Firestone rear air bag setup. Rides and tows great but tends to rub a bit up front on rough roads. This drop was installed back when the truck was new so I think the front springs may be a bit weak. Still need to instal an air tank, guage and air horns. Got it all just need to make the time.

My '79 was a 6/8" drop kit, 3" spindles, 3" springs, 2" shackles, flip kit, 3" homemade notch in rear. My '91 is getting those 3" spindles off my old one (found it in a junkyard 2 years after I sold it) with RE8's up front, cupped stock lower control arms, doing a SFBD, with 3" Z, monster notch in the rear so I can keep the goose ball, Good year semi bags in the rear 2B9-251's, and a wishbone kit from S.D.com. 3/8" SMC's with a York, and a 10.5 gal. tank, and 3/8" line. For now I'll be sportin the stock steelies w/225/60/16's. Maybe some day I would like to score a set of the 17" factory LTZ 5 spokes with factory hub caps off the new GM duallys.

will the spindles off your 79 fit the 93??

Yeah they are both square body trucks, and the front ends are the same stock suspension, there is confusion on the body styles sometimes because the 91 is the last year of squarebody but only on the crew cab, if it was a extended cab or standard cab it would have been the newer body style and suspension. I checked and double checked before I bought it, even if it was wrong it wouldn't matter cause I got the whole frame clip A-arms, frame, steering and all I would just clip the whole thing when I Z it, but it is the same. I checked with DJM and they confirmed it.
