anyone know if there is a difference between 73-87 1 ton spindles and 88-98 1 ton spindles basically need to know if the height where the balljoints bolt up is the same as with the tie rods seems possible to convert 88-98 stuff to 73-87 by maybe reaming the spindles if necessary tryin to find a good route to lift my 2wd 82 1 ton dually

I'm almost positive Fabtec's 73-87 lift was actually listed as 73-99...point being, they may have made those lift kits 'universal' (for lack of a better description). I'm not positive on that, since I was never into that stuff. This was simply from memory of looking through a Fabtec catalog at a buddy's house quite a few years ago. You could try them; they may have something for your application.

How much lift are you looking for? There was a guy around town here a while back with a 2wd square dually that used coil spring spacers to get a few inches of lift. Looked pretty cool on 33's. Although, if your looking to do a full-on 'Bro' lift, you might be in for a shock ($$$).

...and now the part nobody ever wants to hear...

Ever think about selling your 2wd rig in favor of a 4wd? Might be miles ahead depending on what you want out of your truck. 4wd squares are reasonably cheap to lift...the 3" on my Sub was right around $400 IIRC (Tuff Country).
