one of the lower ball joints fell out of the control arm..????? now it will not stay in the arm after i get it back in with a hammer.....
the ball joint nut is tight on the spindle, and it will still fall right out of the arm... <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" title="Question" /><!-- s:?: --> i guess im going to have to take the arm off to get it pressed back in.....anybody ever have this happen before?

i will get some pics here in a min.....going back out to piss the neighbors off with my hammer ....

Put a new ball joint in it and see if it stays

I would replace the balljoints with new ones preferably Moog brand. If you reused the old balljoints that are press in/out they could have been warped when they were removed and therefore making them oblong.

the ball joint was fine until i went to smack the old spindle to get it loose from the balljoint , then it just fell out.....as it sets now, with all the weight on the arm ,the ball joint is in...

im going to buy a new set and have them installed...i would hate to have the thing fall out on me while i drive...

since the truck is not driven anywhere, i went ahead and took the springs out ,and now the truck sets so low the wheels wont turn...lol...the fender wells have to go next. along with the sway bar, etc...

TAKE OUT THOSE DUST SHEILDS THEY WILL RUB AND MAKE A SQUEAK AND CUT OFF THOSE BUMP STOPS IT WILL GO DOWN MORE

i plan on cutting the bump stops off and putting bags..etc...it is going to be a very long build...this is the first time the truck has been touched in 2 1/2 years

those fenderwells have to come out before it will go lower......but i will take the dust covers off....i was thinking about leaving them off , but thought oh well, i might need them...

Moogs dont get alot of travel compared to some of the cheaper brands. They are good ball joints, but not good for adjustable suspension IMO

ok, ive taken the fenderwells out. that let it down a little more......still setting on the bump stops....but not for long.....
