I want to replace the bags and shocks on my 2000 Chev. The bags on it are getting a little dryed out looking and cracked up.I'm thinking Slam Specialties RE 8's all the way around? What shocks do you think?

the info
2000 Chev
Front-bags/spindles
Rear-c-notch,trailing arm setup,panhard bar(Drew Brothers Customs setup)
2-Viar 400 comps,3 tanks,180 psi switch

I want to pull my gooseneck race car trailer(8000-9000lbs) with it so thats why I want to upgrade a few things.

I haven't bagged a dually yet, but I ran Edelbrock IAS shocks on my 94 1/2 ton & they worked great, they were a little pricey but worth it. I'm planning on using Edelbrock IAS shocks on my 93 Dually when I bag it, unless I hear of another shock that works better on these big trucks. I plan on using shocks front & rear with Slam RE-8s in the rear & HE-8s up front.

I put on a set of Monroe "Reflex" on the rear and just got back from a 300 mile trip and I'm very happy with them. Now I just have to decide what I should get to replace the Bell Tech's on the front???

Just curious what shocks would be recommended for my 00 Chevy dually on 24's? The rear shocks are mounted on the 2 link bars and aren't strong enough.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dean

Each shock will be different in size depending our your mounting locations. Lowboy always suggests Rancho's for a good ride, which all of my trucks have. and yes they offer a smooth ride. Just measure the fully extend position of the mount, then fully collapsed position of the mount. Do you need both sides to be an eye mount? Then goto a 4x4 shop and tell them what you need. They will huntem out for ya with their books. If you want a stiffer ride goto a gas, or gas adjustable, then you can play with it. but you will get some reactions from the bags and square bumps...if you get my drift. Nothin bad though...
