i have a 1999 f-350 diesel dually that has a djm 3/5 kit on it but i want it lower, in the back im just gonna flip the axle but what do i use in the front i have no money for airbags or else it would have them all the way around but i have the dream beams in front but thats all i see them make, is there lowering spindles for my truck or steering nuckles ford calls them or lowering coils any info would help thanks!

I see western chassis makes a 2" and 3" coil for the f250 of that year but nothing for the 350. I think the suspension is similar though. I'd give sport truck direct a call and see what they say 1-888-800-0449.

Ok thanks i'll give them a call i'm pretty sure 250 and 350 springs are the same size and as long is it has a diesel they'll hold the same amount

I called them and they didnt have any and i also looked online again and still nothing should i just cut a couple coils off my spring or would that be bad i dont really want to hack anything but if they dont make lowering coils then thats my only opition right now.

i wouldnt cut them personally.. someone has to make them i would think?

Call western chassis direct. 888-999-9139. I'd hate to see you cut a coil. Maybe go with a v-10 coil or 5.3 for the f350, the extra weight of the diesel would surely lower it some. But I don't know if that's a good idea either.

its looks like belltech makes one for a 1997 f-350 dually and im pretty sure there idenical to a 1999 spring so i'll have to see if they will hold a diesel

Damn it they said it doesnt include diesel but he also said and this was a tech guy at belltech we usually dont test our springs that doesnt sound right to me i would think they would have to test them question is should i try them i cant belive that trying to lower my truck 2 inches more is suck a big deal and i also was thinking that lowering coils are made stiffer so bottoming out doesnt occur do you think i should give them a try 97 and 99 springs have the same part number so i know they will fit.

Cutting the coil should be done only if your know what you are doing, DONT HEAT THEM TO MAKE THEM SHORTER! I have always found my Fords in the past to not be low enuough with aftermarket drop kits. After cutting a ring, whether it is 1/2, 3/4 or a full coil the camber needs to be reset. Anytime you cut a coil it will ride like it is slammed. On my 94 Lightning, I had notched the front frame head just begind the crumple zone with a 2" mini notch. The truck drove hard but looked great. I cut a full coil and it gave 3" on top of the Belltech I-beams. It looked great and cornered exceptionally well. The only draw back is with the up travel of the spring and it being too short the spring could pop out of the upper pocket. NO BUENO! It's your truck, your choice. I had them cut in my 86 Crew and I didnt like them so I opt'd for 1/2t coils.

I think im just gonna leave it alone because the reason the suspension companies dont make drop springs and spindles for my truck is because you run out of room to get your camber right unless i bent my beams to straighting the wheel out which i dont want to do i'll always be wearing my tires bad, and i also look at my coil spring and if i cut a coil i wouldnt be able to bolt it back in the pocket so until i can get airbags im leaving it alone.
