How are the springs you have dealing with the BBC?

I just installed a 454 in my 2500 which have 2" springs and 3" spindals, I only have driven it around the city a dozen times, and I know my shocks are funked since the drop has been there for 8+years. My truck has a 6 lug front.

The springs are 2" drop and 1" spindles.but the dude that put my spindles on for me said 2" inch spindles.. But he heated my drop springs to get that extra 2" out of it, so i hit the bump stops sometimes cause of the added weight of the big block... i

Prick didnt say anything about heating them and i didnt notice it till today when i pulled the wheel off to get an idea of what i was going to do.. One spindle has a crack at the top ball joint.. i bet they aint even belltech.. I am glad i am doing this swap man.. my suspension in front is shot....

So now i need springs too...

i will probably just get regular 1/2ton 2" drop springs with the 3/4 ton 3" spindles and it will probably settle an extra inch lower giving me 6" in the front..

i might be wrong, but hey i try!! LOL

In the front if i use the 3/4 ton 8 lug hub then what spindle do i need?? i dont understand if the 3/4 spindle is its own or same as 1 ton 8 lug or dually.

So any body got a flip kit laying around for a dually rear??
I have shackles.. and will be ordering a c-notch soon

Any body with drop suspension stuff that i might need in this project, just let me know??

If not then where can i get the stuff from for cheap???

Not trying to steal his thunder but he can't get on DS due to some kind of computer problem with this site, so here's a teaser update pic. He's doin' the damn thing...

Y'all can ignore all that orange crud on the donor parts, the donor truck came from North Texas (same truck the 7.4 came out of for my 3500HD project) and he's scrubbed it off since the mock-up.

Taken last night the first time he rolled it out of the shop after the conversion. Lots more work to do but it moves under its own power again. Conversion U-joint (50/50) to hook the original driveshaft to the FF rear, flip and notch, 1 ton UCA's in front with 1 ton upper balljoints and 1 ton drop spindles and cut 1 ton springs.

Sweet cant wait to see it finished, I am still thinking about doing a short wheel base myself just cutting the frame and finding a new short bed.

I think he's getting his computer situation worked out so maybe he can start posting updates again, but here's some pics we took today while it was still light out...

I told him he's gonna bust the valance off on the first speed bump he crosses but I don't think he cares.
