i was wondering before i go lookin for parts if the c&c rearend will work with a parallel 4 link mounted outside the frame rails????or will i have to go with a 3 link?????or tiangulated 4 link....i would rather keep the gas tank in the stock location....btw this is on 1990 ext. cab 1 ton chevy dually.....

You will have to rework your frame rails anyway when running a C&C rearend do to clearance, so you can run which ever you would prefer.

could u be specific on what needs to done to lay the rear of these trucks on 22's, i dont know much at all about these trucks' i recently purchased mine comin from a mini...

Ok, i am converting my 1/2 ton swb to a dually.. i decided to use a regular dually rear cause You would have to narrow the frame about 4" or 6" in the rear on each side for clearance with a C&C rear.. so you will have to pretty much back halve it...its alot of work.. That dont mean it wont be worth it

And when you do all that you just might have to move the tank...

As far as suspension goes.. are you planning on towing anything or is this just for looks??

Any suspension setup you mentioned would work to lay it...

yeah screw all that, im not tryin to turn this into a major project,im plannin on gettin another mini for that....all i wanna do is put sum 22's on it and i cant afford to spend 5-6k on wheels and tires.....unless there is a payment plan, even then it will take forever to pay them off....

what about a squarebody?.....

will a c&c rearend and 22" inners fit without building a back half....

well given 502's estimate of 4-6 " per side giving a total narrowing of 8-12". I do believe that the squarebody frames are narrower than $#!+box frames by that much. Hell the saddle tanks between the frame and body are at least 12" per side. Granted I'm just guessing but it seems like it would work.
