well my truck doesnt lay in the front cuz i dont have spindles and ive noticed that there are bolts on the bottom of the frame i am assuming are for the tranny x-member, now what do i do about them...as of right now it is actually layin on them....i just dont wanna put in the spindles and have the truck sittin funny on those bolts when laid out....so what has every done about them?????

i ground mine down to under 1/8 just so i could set it up to lay frame , once i redo the frame for the bd i plan on cutting the x member off and either welding it on or making some kind of mount that bolts on from above

so does the x-member need to come out in order to pull the tranny?

Yes, unless you want to pull the engine also.

take a piece of 2" tubing and some 3" flat plate, make 2 square plates out of the flat plate, put them on the inside of your frame, drill 4 holes in each of them to bolt them to the frame. measure the width between your plates, cut the pipe to go between them and tack weld it to them, remove it, weld it up and reinstall. now take another plate, weld it to the front of the tubing at the trans. mount, drill hole for the mount, make 2 gussets for added strength and walla! your done good luck bro....

oh hell just weld the stock one in place and drag the bolts off
