I have a 1993 crewcab dually. It sits stock on 235/85/16s. I was told that I could cut front springs and install 4 inch lowering blocks to lower, Is this correct? I dont have the money to do this the right way right now. So, can you guys give me some info. Thanks.

yes U can cut the front coils but U have to flip the axle in the rear 4 inch blocks would raise a chevy as the axle is under the leaf

Dont cut the front coils. These trucks have too much weight in the front. If you cut them they will just keep sagging lower and lower and eventually you will have to buy new springs anyways.

Just buy lowering spring the first time, you can pick some up for around 100 new.

You can get a shackle hanger kit to get your 4 in the back. They are a pain in the butt to put the hangers on though as the stock ones are riveted on and is a pain with the bed on. Just don't get the chassis tech ones, they don't fit, none of the holes line up.

#1 indicator that you need to save up the money and do it right the first time.

Not trying to be an ass, just trying to inject some common sense into this.

It's okay, Rich, sometimes there needs to be a certain element of assholery involved in a topic like this. Especially when it involves the safety of others.

Dude-Save the $$$. Do it right. You'll be glad you did.

One Ton Rule #1: There ain't nothing about these trucks that's easy, cheap or light.

If that's the kind of project you want, you might want stick with something smaller.
