i have an 82 crew cab dually that i'm converting to a single wheel. what is the difference between a dually axel and a single wheel axel? can they be converted?

also, anyone interested in my axel and 6 dually wheels? lol. I'm in nor-cal

the drumbrakes and the mountings for the rearbrake plates are different and the hubs in the front and the back , for the rearaxle the eaziest way would be to replace the complete axle for a single wheel one or live with the fact that the rearwheels stick deeper in the wheelwhell
the front take off the diskbrake/hubcombo and mount normal spindles (eeeh sorry hubs )and new diskbrakes , you might need the brakecalipers too
if youre having a one ton single wheel donortruck it shouldnt be too hard and since you need the bed too probably the cheapest

The dually axle is a little wider than a srw axle. The spindles on the front are the same, it's just the hubs that are different.
