I have a 05 chevy crew cab dually i'm about to go buy a lowering kit for it. I'm going with the 6/8 and I have some 24.5 alcoa rims that I will be putting on there when I get them milled down and paint and some rubber on there. My question is what will I have to do to make the rear fit just narrow the rear end of is there another way without getting new rims. And will I have any problems with the front ?

Here is what it will look like minus being the new body style truck. Suspension is exactly the same.

This truck has the 6/8 DJM kit w/305/35/24s on it and the rear wheels stick out a bit less than 1". The rear wheels have our milled face process on it to achieve that fitment. Without the facing process they will stick out around 3".

I also build a mulit piece adapter set for these truck that sit the rear wheels inside/flush with the fenders.

Trevor, With my 08 the wheels stick out 1.25 " past he lip of the bed on each side but I only have less than .75" between the tire and the leaf springs. I dont see how I could use the multi adaptors and get the wheels in without hitting the leaf springs. Also can I use the airlift bags with my truck. Thanks Tony

The adapters worked perfect on the white truck above that I test fit them on and built the adapters for. We have also fit them to older model Chevy trucks and worked without any clearance issues. They left about 3/4" of space between the spring and the tire. Also you have to keep in mind these adapters are made to be used with the normal thickness wheel and not ones that have been machine faced (or at least one wheel of normal thickness).

Airlift bags will be just fine on your truck as long as you get the correct rating for your application. 2b7 should be fine.

Thanks. I dropped over 3 mpg with the 24s.

No problem. The extra 150lbs on each corner eats the gas mileage. The white truck gets around 11mpg with 24s and my F350 gets around 15mpg with 22s on it.

Still getting all of the fitment issues resolved and making them user friendly before I let these things out of the bag.
