Ive been kind of wondering lately about taking 1 inch out of my lower control arms on my air bagged dually. I was wondering if anyone else has done this and if they have had any problems with it. Im out of adjustment on my uppers and i dont want an inch of shims up there either. I also dont really want to spend money on custom arms since i can do this mod for free. Is there a magic number on doing this to minimize issues.

i did mine 3/4-1 inch. i cant remember lol. but its possible you truck may not lay out anymore cuz it pulls the wheels in closer and possible shortening the threads on your tie rods. what size tire do you have?

i have a 225/75/16 i didnt think about the tierods i figured that i might loose a little lift but i clear about 4 inches of tire all the way up and i never drive it like that anyway. It. should still lay unless im missing something

Check out the pics that start about 1/2 way down the page. They shorten the arms & raise the lower ball joints to gain more drop.
